PLOT:
Rabbit Hole by David Lindsay-Abaire is a deeply moving drama about Becca and Howie Corbett, a couple struggling to cope in the months following the tragic death of their young son. As they navigate their grief, their once-stable life begins to fracture under the weight of loss. Becca tries to regain a sense of normalcy by purging reminders of the past, while Howie clings to memories, creating tension between them. Their interactions with family—particularly Becca’s outspoken mother and her troubled sister—further complicate an already fragile emotional landscape.
As the play unfolds, the couple is forced to confront their pain in different ways, including an unexpected and poignant encounter with the teenage boy involved in the accident. Through moments of humour, anger, and quiet tenderness, Rabbit Hole explores the unpredictable nature of grief and the slow, uneven path toward healing. Rather than offering easy answers, the play ultimately suggests that while loss never fully disappears, it is possible to find connection, meaning, and a way forward.
